Can we remove the protection to update with today's episode? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pokemon315066 (talk • contribs) 23:34, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- Someone will update it, if the protection is removed we can see a lot of content dispute. Best, jona(talk) 23:42, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
Can someone update the page? If you're going to limit the access to only one person at least make sure that person is keeping tabs on the article and updating it. Jeeze. I understand it was being vandalized but if you're going to take the responsibility of editing a page, you should at least update the new information. If you can't then just make it possible for users to edit the page. We can always report the vandals. CloudKade11 (talk) 00:12, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- I was hoping the article would have been updated by now, but no one has bothered to do anything about it. Just lazy. --MSalmon (talk) 15:07, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

Hey can we edit this page to show the results from today's episode? Pokemon315066 (talk) 00:06, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Not done You need to provide more information about what needs to be edit, especially if admins do not know or follow Big Brother Canada. Best, jona(talk) 00:16, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
I'm sorry but this "especially if admins do not know or follow Big Brother Canada." is not the greatest thing to say, goes to show that anyone can be an admin for any page and end up not updating it or not taking care of it like they would on others page, if the Admin can't update because they don't know Big Brother, then they SHOULD NOT be the Admin of this page? How does making someone who knows nothing about BB be an Admin? Doesn't make sense. No wonder the page has been lacking with up to date info. Especially since its a 24/7 show (talking about live feeds). So this page can be EASILY updated if the Admin knew about BB. I am reporting that BTW. So hopefully before hand someone else can take over who knows about Big Brother. 184.75.211.177 (talk) 01:05, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wikipedia does not assign people to monitor pages; this page was protected because of content dispute between IPs and users. Currently, only admins can edit this page and Big Brother Canada is a show that not a lot of people watch. Best, jona(talk) 01:13, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
Change the sidebar to where Brittnee's name is highlighted green and Naeha after Sindy highlighted with being evicted Day 15. Under voting history, place Brittnee and Naeha's names as nominated before the veto. And for the votes: Ashleigh, Bobby, Bruno, Godfrey, Graig, Jordan, Pilar, Willow and Zach all voted to evict Naeha. Sarah and Johnny voted to evict Brittnee. Place Naeha before Sindy as being evicted Day 15. Under Week 3/Day 21, place Brittnee as the HOH and add the "Head of Household" card to her box. CloudKade11 (talk) 00:32, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

I have coded the updates that need to be made below, the first is the infobox at the top of the article and the second is the nomination table. An admin could just copy and paste these over the existing data in the article and it will be accurate when you click to submit preview, this is an easy way that avoids an admin with no knowledge of the subject matter being unable to make the edits themselves as happened in a previous request. {{Big Brother housemates | hmpage = List of Big Brother 3 HouseGuests (Canada) <!-- Commented out: | image = File: Big Brother Canada Official 3 Logo.png --> | imagebg = | housemates = HouseGuests | seriesname = Big Brother | series = Season 3 (2015) | previous = Big Brother Canada (season 2) | next = | hm1 = Ashleigh | hm1-enter = Day 1 | hm1-exit = | hm1-stat = none | hm1-veto = | hm2 = Bobby | hm2-enter = Day 1 | hm2-exit = | hm2-stat = nom | hm2-veto = | hm3 = Brittnee | hm3-enter = Day 1 | hm3-exit = | hm3-stat = hoh | hm3-veto = | hm4 = Bruno | hm4-enter = Day 1 | hm4-exit = | hm-stat = none | hm4-veto = | hm5 = Godfrey | hm5-enter = Day 1 | hm5-exit = | hm5-stat = none | hm5-veto = | hm6 = Graig | hm6-enter = Day 1 | hm6-exit = | hm6-stat = nom | hm6-veto = | hm7 = Johnny | hm7-enter = Day 1 | hm7-exit = | hm7-stat = none | hm7-veto = | hm8 = Jordan | hm8-enter = Day 1 | hm8-exit = | hm8-stat = none | hm8-veto = | hm9 = Kevin | hm9-enter = Day 1 | hm9-exit = | hm9-stat = none | hm9-veto = | hm10 = Pilar | hm10-enter = Day 1 | hm10-exit = | hm10-stat = none | hm10-veto = | hm11 = Sarah | hm11-enter = Day 1 | hm11-exit = | hm11-stat = none | hm11-veto = | hm12 = Willow | hm12-enter = Day 1 | hm12-exit = | hm12-stat = none | hm12-veto = | hm13 = Zach | hm13-enter = Day 1 | hm13-exit = | hm13-stat = none | hm13-veto = | hm14 = Naeha | hm14-enter = Day 1 | hm14-exit = Day 15 | hm14-stat = evic | hm14-veto = | hm15 = Sindy | hm15-enter = Day 1 | hm15-exit = Day 14 | hm15-stat = evic | hm15-veto = | hm16 = Risha | hm16-enter = Day 1 | hm16-exit = Day 7 | hm16-stat = evic | hm16-veto = | legendhoh = Head of Household | legendnom = Nominated | legendevic = Evicted | legendblank = Power of Veto Holder}}

It is based upon the Netherlands series of the same name, which gained notoriety in 1999 and 2000. The series premiered on Global on March 23, 2015 and will last for ten weeks.[1] The series revolves around sixteen strangers living in a house together with no communication with the outside world. They are constantly filmed during their time in the house, and are not permitted to communicate with those filming them. One HouseGuest, known as the Head of Household, has the task of nominating two of their fellow HouseGuests for eviction. The Power of Veto can be used to save a nominee. The HouseGuests then vote to evict one of the nominees, with the HouseGuest who receives the most votes being evicted from the house. When only two HouseGuests remained, the previously evicted HouseGuests decide which of them would win the $100,000 grand prize. DevelopmenteditHaving aired fourteen seasons of the United States' edition in the country, it was confirmed that Canada would receive its own edition of the program in 2013.[2] The new series was produced by Endemol USA and Insight Productions. The first season aired on Slice and proved to be a ratings hit for the network, averaging a total of 2.7 million viewers throughout its course.[3][4] The second season continued to have the success of its predecessor, and saw the launch of a new spin-off series titled Big Brother Side Show.[5] The finale for the second season had higher viewership than a 2014 Stanley Cup playoff game.[6] The show's first two seasons were nominated for five Canadian Screen Awards in 2014 and 2015.[1] The third season was officially confirmed by host Arisa Cox on June 4, 2014 through her Twitter account.[7] She later confirmed the return of both Big Brother: After Dark and Big Brother Side Show. The HouseGuests competed for a $100,000 grand prize,[8][9] a $10,000 trip to any where in the world courtesy of Twistos, as well as a $25,000 home makeover from The Brick.[10] The runner-up would receive a $20,000 cash prize.[11] Casting for the third season began on August 20, 2014. John Brunton of Insight Productions stated "Big Brother Canada season two was a blockbuster for the franchise with a perfect storm of personalities pitted against each other inside the Big Brother house and cut off from the outside world [...] The bar has once again been raised and we know our BBCAN Superfans will bring their A-Game to the casting calls this year."[12] Casting was yet again run by Robyn Kass of Kassting, who had done the casting work for the previous seasons and the American edition of the show.[12] There were seven casting calls scheduled, with dates in Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Halifax, St. John's, Montreal and Toronto throughout October and November.[13] Online applications were also available, with the deadline being November 24, 2014.[13] Former HouseGuests Jon Pardy and Neda Kalantar appeared at the Tornto casting call.[14] The first promo for the season premiered on December 17.[15] The cast was revealed in a three-night special on ET Canada, starting on March 16, 2015. Six HouseGuests were revealed on the first night, with five additional HouseGuests being revealed on the second and third nights.[16] This makes season three the season with the most offical HouseGuests to date (although Season 2 had 15 Offical Houseguest and 2 additional potential Houseguests). Twistos returned as a sponsor for the series, having previously sponsored the second season.[17] The twists used throughout the season are referred to as "Twistos Twists", and often impact the dynamics of the game. KFC, OxiClean, Shomi, Ramada, and Pizza Pizza also sponsored the series for its third run, with Ramada and Pizza Pizza being returning sponsors.[18] Arisa Cox and Dan Gheesling, the winner of Big Brother America 10, appeared on The Morning Show to promote the show's premiere.[19] ProductioneditCox confirmed both her return to the series, and its move to Global in June 2014.[7] Global had previously aired the United States' version of the series. Barbara Williams of Shaw Media additionally confirmed this, adding "Our Canadian edition of the beloved Big Brother franchise has quickly become one of the most acclaimed productions in the world and with its move to Global this year, Big Brother Canada’s third installment is looking for the biggest, boldest personalities in Canada to entertain our audiences three nights a week on-air and 24/7 online."[12] Despite the main show's change in network, both Big Brother: After Dark and Big Brother After Show are set to air on Slice. Cox later expressed pleasure in the show's move to Global, believing it could achieve a wider audience.[20] The house this season was the same as the one used in the previous season, though features a dramatic makeover. The newly redesigned house was revealed through Global on March 20, 2015.[21] The new house was designed by Pete Farragher, who described its decor as having a "steampunk vibe".[22] Farragher cited the British version of the series as an influence on his design, with the goal being to make the HouseGuests feel uncomforable.[21] The layout of the house remained the same as the year prior, with the entrance, bathroom, and bedrooms located upstairs. The walls were covered in exposed gears, cogs, pipes, and valves to add to the industrial feel.[21] The Head of Household room was compared to the parlor of the Nautilus from the science-fiction novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (1870).[21] Faraggher described the main bedroom, which featured blue and white themes, as "cool" and "dreamy", with the intention of making the HouseGuests feel "safe".[22] The kitchen table was designed to look like a large bicycle chain with cogs and a sprocket running underneath it.[23] With its move to Global, the third season saw a change in its weekly broadcasting schedule. For this season, the live eviction and Head of Household episode airs on Wednesday nights at 9 PM Eastern Time.[24] The live episodes see host Arisa Cox revealing who has been evicted from the house, as well as an interview with the recently evicted cast member.[24] The second weekly episode airs on Sunday at 7 PM, and features the weekly Have-Not competition and the nomination ceremony.[25] The third and final episode airs on Monday at 8 PM, and sees both the Power of Veto competition and ceremony take place.[25] Following their broadcast on Global, the episodes are posted on the show's official website for free streaming.[26] HouseGuestsedit
Season summaryeditThe sixteen HouseGuests entered the house on March 19, 2015.[27] The house was empty upon their arrival, and they learned they would have to earn the furniture and their personal belongings.[28] The first twist of the season saw all of the HouseGuests being crowned Head of Household, meaning they would all nominate two HouseGuests for eviction; the two with the most votes would be the nominees for the week.[28] Risha and Sindy received the most votes, thus were nominated for eviction.[29] That same night, Bobby, Kevin, Naeha, and Zach were selected to compete with the nominees in the "Crack the Code" Power of Veto competition. The challenge required the HouseGuests to build a Power of Veto shaped puzzle and crack a three-digit code to earn the final piece. Sindy was the winner, being the first HouseGuest to finish her puzzle.[28] Minutes later, it was revealed that if Sindy used the Power of Veto she would be required to choose a replacement nominee; she chose to save herself, and named Pilar the replacement nominee.[29] On Day 2, the HouseGuests were given a task to earn their belongings. They found five large balloons in the backyard, and learned that they would be required to hold them up for five hours each to advance to the next stage; the balloons had a number inside, and the five numbers served as a code.[30] Kevin learned in the Diary Room that he would earn $1,000 if he popped one of the balloons; he did so, and earned the prize..[30] On Day 3, the HouseGuests finished the task, and learned that they would be required to figure out the code to unlock the Vault, where their items were located.[30] Zach successfully unlocked the Vault, and the HouseGuests earned their items.[30] That same day, Ashleigh, Bobby, Bruno, Graig, Willow, and Zach formed the Chop Shop alliance.[31] Jordan and Zach formed the Newport alliance, with the goal of making it to the end together.[31] On Day 7, the HouseGuests learned that Canada had voted to evict either Risha or Pilar, and that they would not be voting that night. Risha then became the first HouseGuest to be evicted.[32] Following Risha's eviction, the HouseGuests competed in the "Wall to Wall" endurance Head of Household competition. For this competition, HouseGuests stood on two small ledges on opposite sides of two glass walls.[33] They initially had a rope to hold onto, though this was later taken away. Bobby was the winner, making him the first official Head of Household of the season.[34] Bobby and his Chop Shop alliance originally planned to target Godfrey, though Bobby wanted to nominate Brittnee and Kevin as they were the first to fall in the Head of Household competition. Bobby further hoped to evict Kevin from the house, believing that he and Johnny were becoming too close in the house.[34] On Day 8, the first eight HouseGuests to fall from the Head of Household competition were required to compete in the Have-Not competition; Brittnee, Godfrey, Jordan, and Naeha became the Have-Nots for the week.[34] On Day 9, Bobby chose to nominate Brittnee and Kevin for eviction.[35] The girls agreed to work together to evict Kevin from the house, though when Kevin overheard this he quickly informed the boys. This led to the guys in the house forming an alliance, and the target shifting from Kevin to Sindy.[36] That night, Godfrey, Willow, and Johnny were selected to compete in the "Dam It" Power of Veto competition, which Jordan hosted. The competition saw those competing attempting to spell out a phrase using pieces of wood that they retrieve from a pile.[37] The game saw the HouseGuests dress as beavers, and they were required to swim through a "dam" to get to their puzzle; Kevin was the winner.[37] On Day 11, Kevin chose to use the Power of Veto to remove himself from the block, with Bobby choosing to nominate Sindy in his place. On Day 14 Sindy was evicted with a vote of 12-0.[38] Following Sindy's eviction Kevin won HoH against Ashleigh, Later he found out that it was a instant eviction and he decided to nominate Naeha and Brittnee but later found out the guys targeted him the HoH before and Kevin regretted putting Naeha up because he knew she was going home. He was right with a vote of 9-2 Naeha was evicted. Following Naeha's eviction Sarah felt bad for voting to evict Brittnee but she was reassured that Brittnee was not mad but it icelated her from the house putting a target on her back and Brittnee's fortunutley for them Brittnee won the HoH and bowed to keep Sarah safe and get out a guy (the first guy).
The competition saw those competing attempting to spell out a phrase using pieces of wood that they retrieve from a pile.[37] The game saw the HouseGuests dress as beavers, and they were required to swim through a "dam" to get to their puzzle; Kevin was the winner.[37] On Day 11, Kevin chose to use the Power of Veto to remove himself from the block, with Bobby choosing to nominate Sindy in his place.[38] Have-Notsedit

The page has old information. The Head of Household has changed, and more houseguests have been evicted. Gc1215 (talk) 06:21, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- I know, but admins haven't bothered to do anything about it --MSalmon (talk) 17:10, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Because they don't understand the codes that needs to be encoded to display the changes that this user has requested. Who's HOH? Who have been evicted? What needs to be done to display those changes? The best thing to do right now is to wait, the protection will expire tonight. Best, jona(talk) 17:17, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Why are the admins then? --MSalmon (talk) 17:19, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- I asked for help and a user explained why no changes have been made (click on the link for further information). Not everyone in the world knows about this show, you guys have to be as specific as possible while simplifying some context that can be easily understandable to those unfamiliar with this show. But like I said, the protection will expire tonight. Best, jona(talk) 17:23, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

Whoever the admin is, can't they FREELY give this page up to someone else? Regardless if someone knows the show or not (which in my opinion, is ridiculous) they should know how to edit a page if they were placed in charge of the page. If they are not familiar with the coding or whatnot or the context then it should be CLEAR that, that certain admin should NOT be the admin of this page. Just like any other job, if you can't do the work, then you're not suited for the job. Common sense too if you look at it. If I see that this page is not up to date after tonight, I will be reporting the admin or admins. Neglecting a page for more than a week as the show is going on currently and its 24/7 as well, there should be no excuse for that. I read that there was vandalism, I can understand protecting a page for that, but being unable to edit the page (speaking about admin), as the show is currently on air and 24/7 live feeds providing up to date information to update this page, there should be NO excuse for the edit delays. If the admin is unable to do their work/information, then they should not be in charge of this page. 184.75.212.50 (talk) 23:48, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Like I've said before, Wikipedia does not assign admins to monitor pages. Admins have the freedom to edit any protected article that they feel is not controversial. Currently there are no consensus from anyone here on what should be updated... besides complex codes that an experienced admin with knowledge and/or understanding of this show would understand. Not everyone in this world (are we at 7 billion now?) watches this show. Again, Wikipedia does not assign admins to monitor protected articles and they are not obligated to listen to requests that do make sense to them or has yet gathered consensus. I can make a request that the says Kevin was evicted from the show, but it will not be made until consensus is met or a reliable source (not Global TV as it is biased). This article was fully protected because IPs and users engaged in content disputes about a group of living people. This page will be unprotected starting tonight and will be protected again if disputes arise after its expiration date. Best, jona(talk) 00:14, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
Wow, it's unbelievable how you just completely ignored what I was trying to say by focusing on one certain topic, please re-read what I typed above. How is Global TV biased if you don't mind me asking, they are the ones providing the show for us, if it wasn't for Global TV (this season) we wouldn't have BBC3 currently. I would understand not using Global TV had BBC3 did not air. But again, the whole point of what I wrote was basically ignored in your response. How come the admins themselves are not providing answers, not that it would help their case anyways. "Not everyone in this world (are we at 7 billion now?) watches this show." I UNDERSTAND that, but again, it's like any other job, if you don't know the work, then it's not for you. Just like if I was a mechanic but didn't know anything about it, why would I work there? Same with editing a wiki page, if I don't know how, why should I be in charge of the page. Very simple logic. 184.75.212.50 (talk) 01:27, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Using Global TV as a reliable source would be unacceptable because they are biased; its a TV channel promoting their shows (that's what I meant in terms of being biased). Admins are not objectified to answer edit-protection requests if it does not suit their expertise or taste—the same goes for mechanics who may have an area of expertise or an area they prefer to tackle on. Admins are not paid editors, they can answer or not answer; they have other areas they want to work on (fighting vandalism, commenting at the WP:AN/I board, etc) this is not the only area that admins are asked to do. No one is in charge of any page and are not owned by anyone. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that can be edit by anyone unless disputes come about, which in case it had happened and is why it is locked from editing. So, can we agree that Wikipedia is not a place where certain groups control, monitor, edit, and are the sole editors of an article? We are just people behind a computer editing articles—that's it. jona(talk) 01:39, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
Willow/Kevin
editHey guys, it currently is like this anyway, but I think it might be worth pointing out that we should keep Kevin below Willow on the nominations table/list of houseguests, since he received less votes to stay in the game, and was formally evicted by Arisa first! Jordan and jury
editStop writing that Jordan's vote was nullified. Not once did they mention they were going to nullify a jurors vote. They EVICTED him from jury thus like he was never even there. Including his vote for Sarah with the strike through is misleading and it makes it seem like he was a part of the jury all along. I say we leave it like it is now until we find another solution. 2602:306:32DA:6710:89D1:AD1C:748F:3ED0 (talk) 01:28, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
- Jordan was part of the jury - he was in the jury house, he got to ask a question of the final two, and cast a vote; other then not having his vote count, what didn't he do as a jury member. Everyone but Sarah was "evicted" from the house, does that mean it was like they were never even there? The table needs to show Jordan's Sarah vote. My preferred format is to make Jordan's final square salmon and show Sarah with strike through along with the note. --Jordan 1972 (talk) 11:26, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
- That's different because theirs actually something there to note they've been evicted from the house. Jordan was not part of jury by the end, that was the point of evicting him from it. Arisa confirmed it on air and he was moved with the non-jurors. 2602:306:32DA:6710:246E:217B:212C:BBC6 (talk) 19:57, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
- Except he was evicted from jury after casting a ballot, thus the ballot was nullified. It would be different had he never cast a ballot in the first place, but he did; it needs to be noted that he did, in fact, cast a ballot, and the place to do so is in the voting table. - Katanin (talk) 22:32, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- No. His vote was never noted as being nullified. Arisa confirmed he was removed from jury. She simply read his vote to let everyone know who he would have voted for had he not been removed obviously for suspense. She never read it with the other votes, therefore making it irrelevant. 2602:306:32DA:6710:58EA:2220:3AFF:B921 (talk) 19:04, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

- But it was nullified as a result of him being removed from jury.. Regardless of whether or not it was done in that order only for suspense, he still cast a ballot first before being removed. Please see Big Brother 2 (U.S) for precedent. - Katanin (talk) 20:05, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- His vote was not nullified because he was not part of jury due to him being evicted. How is this not sinking in? It's clear as day. Just because his vote was revealed does not mean his vote was nullified. Otherwise the final 3 would have voted to NULLIFY a vote, not EVICT a juror, as said MULTIPLE times by the shows announcer and Arisa herself. You want to know what nullification is? Go look at Big Brother 2 USA. Both those jurors were a part of jury, however, their votes were NULLIFIED, as said by the announcer and Julie herself. There is a difference. 2602:306:32DA:6710:989D:231:96FF:5417 (talk) 10:45, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- I think you're getting caught up in semantics here; given that Jordan cast a ballot for Sarah to win, and the ballot was later thrown out as his jury privileges were revoked, why should it not be noted as such on the page? He was still kicked out of jury after casting a ballot; whether you want to say he was kicked out or the vote nullified, he still cast a ballot that was uncounted, and thus it should be placed on the page with a strikethrough.- Katanin (talk) 04:08, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Jordan and jury revisited
editSo in light of recent edit warring between me and @CloudKade11:, I figure we should bring this back up. See here as to what we're debating about. As argued before, this should follow the same precedent as Bunky and Shannon's votes for the winner as "In BBUS season 2, two of the evicted HouseGuests voted for a winner; after doing so, a twist resulted in their votes not counting. What's the difference with BBCan 3?" Bunky, Shannon, and Jordan's final votes were nullified after being cast, and thus not counted, and should be treated the same way. Remember, consensus can change, and I have seen more people these days advocating for no background colour than not — @VietPride10: has also reverted edits that have added the salmon background colour to Jordan's vote for the winner — so I figure we should at least open up discussion again.
I am in support of no salmon background colour. - Katanin (talk) 05:36, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
