Merger proposal
editWe should look closely to see if we should merge Bill Dague and W. H. Dague. I think that if we can verify that they are the same person, the final article should be named Bill Dague. As of this moment I have not researched enough myself to know if they are the same person, but through WikiTeamwork we can figure this out!--Paul McDonald (talk) 13:10, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- I have seen what is for certain Bill Dague referred to as W. H. Dague, Jr., and they did appear to flourish at the same time in the same part of the country. I haven't been able to find anything about the coach that is not already mentioned in W. H. Dague. Location (talk) 15:39, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- I have verified that they are the same person. An October 1914 Detroit Free Press article announced Dague's hiring as the Adrian football coach. That article refers to him as the former Annapolis end. I've added some additional sourcing, including the Free Press article. Cbl62 (talk) 16:21, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- Good work! It looks as though all the information has been merged. Should the redirect be put in place now? Location (talk) 22:38, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- I think so. Paul? Cbl62 (talk) 23:32, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
