Billy's name and grandfather
editI've done some digging on how Billy qualifies for Ireland on the genealogy sites, and I've found out a couple of things that contradict what's in the article. One, his birth name is not William - his birth registration is in the name of Billy Sean Burns. I've added that to the infobox cited to Genes Reunited, although that might count as original research. (Freddie also isn't Frederick, his birth was registered as Freddie Spender Burns.) Two, his paternal grandfather, Thomas Peter Burns, was from Dublin, not Cork, although that error is all over the internet including in articles for reputable news sites. I have confirmed that from Genes Reunited, the British Newspaper Archive, Irish Genealogy and Ancestry, but that's definitely original research, so I have cited it to an article from The Irish Times which names the grandfather as Tommy. --Nicknack009 (talk) 19:58, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
References needed
editI reverted some edits that made updates without references, and also deleted an existing in-use reference. That change was reverted back to the version that had the unreferenced stats and the damaged reference.
I've now replaced the deleted reference to fix the referencing error, and marked the unreferenced statistics with {{fact}} tags. The updated statistics should be referenced, and the article shouldn't be edited to undo the fixes for the undefined references. -- Mikeblas (talk) 15:48, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
