Beard is a Verb?
editThe last quote in Religious and political views says Bob Jones, Jr. was "bearded by a "big, burly Dutch missionary."" How does bearding work? bendodge (talk) 10:45, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- "beard, t.v. "to confront boldly." AHD.--John Foxe (talk) 15:31, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

editI'm no expert on Bob Jones, Jr., but most of the points in Religious and Political Views seem to be negatively biased. This may be offset with some more positive quotes.
- The quotations are from Bob Jones, Jr.'s own writings, mostly from his autobiography. If anyone believes the quotations to be "negatively biased," he can read Cornbread and Caviar for himself and extract "positive quotes" that he believes equally representative. --John Foxe 10:48, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Several of the points are indeed negatively phrased, which I think may be what the first comment was trying to say. I am a Catholic Christian, and disagree with Bob Jones, Jr. on many things, but I also have two friends who are currently members of the faculty at BJU, and they tell me that there are many positive points which can be made about him, and about the university. -- C. MacKirnan, 28 January 2007
- Welcome to the discussion, Mr. MacKirnan. If you believe anything in the article is too "negatively phrased," then have at it. Most of the citations are to BJU publications.--John Foxe 20:37, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Bju logo.JPG
editImage:Bju logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
