Democracy Park & Article Title

edit

Is the article Democracy Park the same park that is mentioned in this article? If so then we should wikilink the 2 articles.

Also, if it is the same park, then I assume that the Busan–Masan Democracy Movement, which is mentioned in the Democracy Park article, is about the same protests? Which of the 2 names would be most appropriate as the title of this article (ie. " Busan–Masan Democracy Movement" or "Bu-Ma Democratic Protests")? Incomprehensible

edit

This whole article reads like a poor translation of a poor article in some other language.

민주항쟁 does not mean "democratic protests". Why is the phrase translated like this?

What exactly were the demands of the students?

"The 1978 National Assembly election ... was influenced by the government." What does that mean?

"Nevertheless, the ruling Republican Party was defeated by the New Democratic Party." Why "nevertheless"?

"[F]emale workers of the YH Trading Company ... performed a lockout at the headquarters of the New Democratic Party". Why? What were their demands?

"Because of the lockout, the ruling Republican Party expelled Kim Young-sam from the National Assembly, ..." What's the connection between the lockout and Kim Young-sam?

"Yi Cheol-seung defected" Whence? Whither?

"The military arrested 1,058 people, 66 of who went on to face trial." What where they charged with, and what was the outcome of the trial(s)?

Please elaborate. --Babel fish (talk) 17:08, 28 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
