When you have a piece of land more than 10 square miles in area, and when the piece of land is blob-shaped and not long and narrow, you really should go with {{coord|Degree|Minute|N|-Degree|Minute|W}}, because greater precision really isn't appropriate for an area of this size. This isn't a matter of getting small things right or wrong; it's a matter of unnecessary/excessive detail, i.e. precision that's unhelpful because it's precise. Meanwhile, note the difference between the two GNIS entries: one is for the populated place (i.e. the area where people are concentrated), and the other's for the city (i.e. the municipal boundaries). Barring weirdnesses, e.g. Wrangell, Alaska (populated place at the northern tip of the consolidated city-borough), municipality and populated place are generally close enough to equivalent that we need not treat them separately, anyway: either one will work.
