Building Australia Party → Advance Australia Party – Party was renamed during the 2019 nsw election, current Advance Australia page is a redirect to an old party Catiline52 (talk) 04:19, 10 March 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. Sangdeboeuf (talk) 19:06, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- Moved from WP:RM/TR for discussion. – Ammarpad (talk) 05:19, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
- The target is an article Advance Australia Party, that has to be sorted out. – Ammarpad (talk) 05:24, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
- I'd support some sort of move, but I'm not sure the current party has WP:PRIMARYTOPIC primacy over the old one; they're both extremely minor. Perhaps Advance Australia Party (current) for this one? If these guys ever win a seat, we can revisit. Frickeg (talk) 06:42, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose this move. They're both effectively former minor parties who are still lingering around in some context, with the original one arguably being slightly more notable. If it wasn't for the NSW state registration, I'd oppose a move entirely given that they're much better known as the Building Australia Party and, well, our article claims they're basically dead, which would make the rename a bit questionable. Given the NSW registration, I'd support moves to Advance Australia Party (1988) and Advance Australia Party (2010), akin to the solution we used with the many and varied Country Parties, at least some of which also had a penchant for last-gasp renames. The Drover's Wife (talk) 06:50, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose but, and, and as per The Drover's Wife. Aoziwe (talk) 09:37, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support alternative of Advance Australia Party → Advance Australia Party (1988) and Building Australia Party → Advance Australia Party (2010) with Advance Australia Party redirecting to Advance Australia Party (1988) with a hatnote regarding the 2010 party at the target. Basically, what The Drover's Wife said except accounting for WP:TWODABS based on the slight advantage in notability the earlier party has over the later party. SITH (talk) 11:50, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- That is not consistent with WP:TWODABS. If there is no primary topic, there needs to be a disambiguation page per WP:NOPRIMARY. Frickeg (talk) 22:19, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
