editWhile Sartre was an influence on Fanon in general, and perhaps also in regard to this concept, the specific quote from Dirty Hands is quite out of place, as the phrase "by any means necessary" only matches Fanon in an English translation, not in the French original. - More relevant would probably be Sartre's quote on violence from his 1940s notebooks, and also his preface to Fanon's The Wretched of the Earth. Pharos (talk) 02:14, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
