Merger proposal
edit- Page should be merged with CFB Trenton. There is no such installation in the Canadian Forces termed "CFD" (Canadian Forces Detachment). Mountain View is administratively and operationally part of CFB Trenton. Palaeozoic99 (talk) 00:07, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- The term CFD exists in the CF system. If you were a member of the CF and on the DWAN you would be able to look it up yourself. Ng.j (talk) 00:31, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

- I disagree - the facility is currently administratively part of CFB Trenton, but that alone is no reason to merge it. Mountain View has a long history of its own, more of which should be added to this article, particularly with regard to No. 6 Bombing and Gunnery School (6 B&GS). - Ahunt (talk) 12:25, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- If not merged, then the name should be changed. There is no such facility as (CFD) Canadian Forces Detachment. The Canadian Forces only has (CFB) Canadian Forces Base and (CFS) Canadian Forces Station. Palaeozoic99 (talk) 21:03, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- Well apparently you haven't waited the normal seven days for this merger debate to run its normal course and have moved it without discussion. This article has been here since May 2006, why the rush? - Ahunt (talk) 21:43, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Closed, merger failed due to lack of consensus.Ng.j (talk) 00:51, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
