Display of units

The changes DO CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY to the article, not everyone can decipher scientific notation! I live next to the plant and people in the US read in gallons NOT liters or mega liters. Those changes do help others. Why are you biased to the metric system? Why can't US Imperial units be spelled out for everyone? In my opinion, 50,000,000 gallons is EQUALLY MEANING**LESS** to everyday people as is 50 x 10^6 gallons, since neither gives any idea in comparison to average yearly household consumption. Numbers are often stated in equally-useless-to-average-people-units like acre-feet, or as my bill is in CCF (hundred cubic feet = 748 US gallons). If (number of units) of average yearly/monthly household consumption were given in the source(s), this would in my opinion be the ideal unit to use, but the numbers are not always provided in those units, and that unit of measure (average household usage) may vary from desert region to coastal region. ---Avatar317(talk) 23:55, 6 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
The article has a worldwide readership, most of who use and understand the metric system so it is included for them. Fettlemap (talk) 04:06, 10 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Cost per gallon

edit

Someone should check the costs per gallon, there is no way it’s 0.32 cents per gallon (based on the acrefoot measurement, it’s probably 0.32 cents per thousand gallons). 24.234.43.27 (talk) 14:50, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
