Carn Brea, St Just → Chapel Carn Brea – The correct name for this hill is Chapel Carn Brea. This article was redirected on 4 September 2013 by User:Bermicourt from Chapel Carn Brea to → Carn Brea, St Just, possibly because the Ordnance Survey refer to it as Carn Brea. It is not unusual for the Ordnance Survey to get Cornish place names wrong, usually by mis-spelling or anglicizing. I've always known the place as Chapel Carn Brea. - Please see An Index to the Historical Place Names of Cornwall: Vol 1 - A to K.
- Peter Pool (1973) The Place-names of West Penwith. gives earlier examples from 1700 and 1748 Chapel Carn Brey; circa 1740 Chapel Karn Breh. Jowaninpensans (talk) 12:19, 4 January 2015 (UTC) The hill is still known as Chapel Carn Brea.
- There is a plaque on the hill – see photo in article.
