Start date

edit

I'm changing the start date of the conflict to 1982. Anyone have any problems with this? Ug (talk) 02:20, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ongoing?

edit

Is this conflict still ongoing? The latest date mentioned in the article is 2012. If the conflict continued past this date, please update the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toolen (talkcontribs) 18:38, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

The MFDC still exists, the conflict is ongoing on a low intensity basis. The Senegalese typically supress media reports on rebel activities, and such attacks that do occur are typically not notable enough to be reported by western media. There was a widely reported MFDC attack in early 2013 that killed 5 people when they attempted to rob a bank. Some details regarding events that occured in 2013 can be seen here, [[1]]XavierGreen (talk) 18:58, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

End?

edit

The rebels signed a peace deal today. Should I mark this war as over? 2601:85:C101:C9D0:A916:4A36:1F1C:5675 (talk) 22:55, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'll mark this as ended in a week if no one opposes. 2601:85:C101:C9D0:A916:4A36:1F1C:5675 (talk) 22:56, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Only one faction signed the deal; the others still fight. I have updated the article. Applodion (talk) 10:43, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Correct, I was wrong. 2601:85:C101:C9D0:41DC:480:134F:5F02 (talk) 22:24, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
