editI've added a historical section and a reference to the proposed Gateway Program. It might be nice to dig up some info on the actual construction process, and I'd like to find a reference for the "traffic light" factoid. (I can't recall if it was something like "the last traffic light until Salmon Arm" or similar.) As well, if no-one objects, I'll move this article to Cassiar Connector or Cassiar Connector Tunnel. (The latter is the official name according to a reference (see Definitions) from the Ministry of Highways.) Cheers! --Ckatz 10:10, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Reason for tunnel
editIt would be nice to have more background on the tunnel and why the government didn't opt for a straight SPUI. Community pushback? Environmental concerns? Service road in the way? Jordf32123 (talk) 00:25, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
