List of Hong Kong and other cities in China
editAccording to Basic Law, the mini constitution of Hong Kong and the provisions of official one country, two systems, Hong Kong as a special administrative region enjoys high level of autonomy. Hong Kong has its own customs and immigration control, because Hong Kong and other Chinese cities have different administrative (governmental & legal) system, not because the flights are considered international. Hong Kong also has aviation agreements with variety of countries on its own. That again, as stated in the provision of official one country, two system, because Hong Kong has different administrative system, but is part of one country, that is China. On other airline desinations articles, Aruba, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and the Netherlands Antilles are listed on their own, along with other countries. Guam, Puerto Rico and the Northern Marianas are listed under the United States along with other US states and territories, which is in turn under North America.
See also the discussion page of the Hong Kong wikipedians' notice board. The resolution of this dispute should also be applied to other airline destinations articles. — Instantnood 15:58 Feb 28 2005 (UTC)

Date format
editRecently, there has been what seems like one user but perhaps more editing the start date for Dublin service from 2 June 2017 to June 2 2017. While there is nothing wrong with doing so, it does not match the format listed for other destinations or the established norm, so I would suggest to the person(s) behind this edit to cease changing the date format for one destination and take up with relevant authorities if they feel something is wrong. Destinations total
editWe don't include codeshare destinations in this list. Or destinations operated by other airlines in the one world alliance. This list is for Cathay Pacific destinations only.CHCBOY (talk) 20:56, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
Chinese destinations
editOn [1] and [2]. Many if not all of these destinations were previously served by Dragonair/Cathay Dragon. Yes they were transferred from Cathay Dragon to Cathay Pacific, but then were they ever actually operated by Cathay Pacific before they are "terminated" because of China's coronavirus policies? 58.152.59.185 (talk) 13:19, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
