The result of the move request was: Move as unopposed and discussed. I get 40000 more Google hits for "St elie and st gregory" than "St elias and st gregory". The commons category (see page) is currently also titled "St. Elie ..." (non-admin closure) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 01:40, 16 June 2016 (UTC) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 01:40, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Cathedral of Saint Elias and Saint Gregory the Illuminator → Cathedral of St Elie and St Gregory the Illuminator – Sources use the abbreviation and the spelling I am requesting – Rockypedia (talk) 13:54, 6 May 2016 (UTC) --Relisted. -- samtar talk or stalk 09:12, 28 May 2016 (UTC) -- Relisting (2nd). - This is a contested technical request (permalink). EdJohnston (talk) 17:34, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
- There seem to be several variations that other editors have used and that appear in sources; Elie/Elias and St./St/Saint at least. Probably should discuss. Dicklyon (talk) 14:27, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
- Support: more sources point to the abbreviated "St", but more importantly, its more concise. DaltonCastle (talk) 02:41, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

Move on June 15
editI interpret the support vote in the RM above as support for "St Gregory" and "St Elias". As indicated in the article, the building is dedicated to "Saint Elias", or "Elias of Jerusalem", which the German article supports. The naming of the Spanish article also contains "Elias". The commons category, spelled with Elie, was created in 2014, likely a response to the naming of this article at the time. Hence, I boldly moved this once more. Ping on my talk page if there are any issues. I cannot guarantee that I'm watching this page. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 02:12, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Cathedral of St Elias and St Gregory the Illuminator → Cathedral of Saint Elias and Saint Gregory the Illuminator – The inconsistency between "St" and "St." is a never-ending nuisance. Since we don't need to save ink on Wikipedia, we may as well just go simple. PPEMES (talk) 19:15, 26 May 2019 (UTC)--Relisting. DannyS712 (talk) 21:09, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
