Removal of critical content

edit

This edit by Livnocows removed a bunch of text from the criticism section. One of the removals was Kissling speaking on All Things Considered. Another removal was the Archdiocese of Mexico. Livnocows, can you explain what you wished to accomplish? Binksternet (talk) 20:45, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

The original text of this section was redundant and included irrelevant information which framed the page as favoring an anti-CFC view rather than unbiased reporting. The contributions of Mexican and Canadian bishops was removed as they are simply repetitive of the statements by USCCB and less authoritative as CFC is an American organization. I believe the current tone and framing of this section portrays CFC as inherently negative and criticisms of the organization to be unquestionable fact rather than opinions. The edits intended to more accurately and succinctly convey the information from the referenced sources. Livnocows (talk) 22:51, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for that explanation. What do you think of Kissling's quote from All Things Considered? Binksternet (talk) 23:26, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I restored your edit but with some of Kissling's quote. Binksternet (talk) 15:48, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
thank you. I agree that quote from Kissling is important to remain included and gives important context to the stance and response of those in the organization. Livnocows (talk) 18:54, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
