Chantry Park missing

edit

There ought to be a seperate article for Chantry Park. I always thought that Chantry was within Ipswich rather than just within Suffolk. There are seperate articles for Christchurch and Holywells parks, and Chantry is probably bigger in size than those.

It would be nice to have an article listing all the parks or green spaces in Ipswich, as as well as the big parks mentioned above there are a large number of smaller parks. There is also the large Rushmere Heath and the smaller Bixley Heath which are now effectively within Ipswich due to housebuilding.

According to a happiness survey Ipswich is the 3rd. happiest place in Britain, and I think this is due to the large amount of green space due to the many parks. Thanks to the wealthy Victorian businessmen who apparantly competed with each other in giving parkland to the public around the turn of the 19th/20th. centuries. I wish this tradition could become more widespread as with the increasing population of England and greater crowding it is needed. 92.29.112.109 (talk) 10:22, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
