No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 05:22, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
List of Lost (TV series) cast members → List of Lost cast members —
- Over redirect; (TV series) is unneeded because there is no other article called "List of Lost cast members" and other articles such as Characters of Lost or List of Lost episodes do not use the (TV series) disambig. ShadowUltra (talk) 22:52, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- But there are 4 films and similar and many other things called Lost. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:48, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose there are many things called "Lost". 70.29.210.242 (talk) 04:03, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Without the disambig bracket the title could mean "list of cast members who are lost" :: OK, a short think will work out the meaning, but readers should not be forced to stop and think what text means. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 11:45, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- "List of Lost episodes" is much more likely to cause confusion, to the point that a clarification message has been added to the top of that page. "Cast members who are lost" makes no sense and no person would logically assume that is the meaning of the article title. ShadowUltra (talk) 22:22, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- ""Cast members who are lost" makes no sense": as people will realize after a short think. But readers should not be forced to stop and think what text means. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:19, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Update!
editRegardless of whether this page needs renaming, it's contents do need updating. I tried to remove the purple 'TBA' colour-code thingy, but I'm unfamiliar with the mark-up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.104.56.108 (talk) 21:48, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Colours
editThis colour system is appalling, could we not have some ordinary colours that go well with writing in the article? That Ole Cheesy Dude (Talk to the hand!) 19:16, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
Requested move, 2011
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: page moved to Character timelines in Lost per discussion. - GTBacchus(talk) 03:36, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
List of cast members of Lost → Character timelines in Lost (TV series) – or "List of character timelines in Lost (TV series)", "List of (cast members/characters) of Lost (TV series)", "List of Lost (TV series) (cast members/characters)"
I think the problem here is that this is a timeline, not really a list. The title is slightly misleading as the list is of the characters, not cast, with their associated actors and so should not really be named as a cast list; if it was, the cast should be vertically listed, not the characters.
There are two TV series and two films that use the title "Lost". The page was recently moved, although there was a previous move request that was passed as "no consensus to move". The previous title, "List of Lost (TV series) characters" was stable and seemed as if the only thing that needed changing was "characters" -> "cast".
List of character timelines in the Lost (TV series) might be a better choice as it uses "series", thereby demarking from the two films and accurately conveys that the timeline is the main point of the article. Chaosdruid (talk) 01:18, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- Comment. Is "the" really needed in the title? What's wrong with "Character timelines in Lost (TV series)"? Jenks24 (talk) 17:29, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. Why do we need the dab - what's wrong with "Character timelines in Lost"? --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 08:48, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- I agree that "the" shouldn't be in there. I have removed it.
- The reason for me suggesting (TV series) is that there are two films, two tv series and two books with the same title "Lost", though with much lower viewing numbers. Chaosdruid (talk) 16:07, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Support move to Character timelines in Lost, as Ohconfucius suggested. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 03:00, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: page moved again. DrKiernan (talk) 18:13, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
Character timelines in Lost → List of Lost cast members – "Character timelines in Lost" is a bizarre and unconventional page title in Wikipedia. This page is an identical list to List of Grey's Anatomy cast members or List of Harry Potter cast members, and a page move would enable a naming convention. -- Wikipedical (talk) 00:33, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Support – As far as I can tell, this is the only page that uses such a title. I'd much rather prefer to have a naming convention so that everything looks more uniform. I don't see any reason someone would think that the cast members were lost (which was an issue that appears to have been brought up in an earlier discussion), or furthermore, why anyone would think Wikipedia had an article for that. I don't even know what that would mean. But anyway, I support a move to List of Lost cast members. Kevinbrogers (talk) 00:50, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose it should be called List of Lost (TV series) cast members as it was in 2010 and matching the TV series article name. -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 03:53, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Please read Wikipedia:Disambiguation. Just as List of Lost episodes and List of Lost characters are fine, there is no disambiguation needed with "cast members." -- Wikipedical (talk) 05:51, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Such a page is unlikely to be made for any other work with the same title, so this article should match similar ones. --BDD (talk) 19:55, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
editCyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 02:37, 15 January 2014 (UTC)== Table issues ==
Please could someone take a look at this and give it a reasonable colour scheme. The current one is awful, and fails WP:COLOR. Please also restore the links to blue. Also there's a couple of season six, "Starring only in The End" panels which have colours, but no text - can someone look at this too. --Rob Sinden (talk) 13:04, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
Merging proposal
editAm I the only one that thinks that List of Lost cast members and List of Lost characters should be merged? --Mazewaxie 14:44, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
