The listed muzzle velocity is probably a bit optimistic as it reflects .303 British as fired from the original Lee Enfield, which doesn't need to vent gas to power the action. 78.105.3.47 (talk) 14:20, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Skennerton's Small Arms Identification Series No. 13: Special Service Lee-Enfields... Commando & Auto Models lists the muzzle velocity for the Charlton as "2,400ft./sec approximate", so that would seem to be the correct muzzle velocity. Commander Zulu (talk) 23:54, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Action?

edit

The infobox states that the weapon was semi-automatic, then lists a rate of fire that certainly looks like a fully-automatic arm. The lede states that it was fully automatic.

The second paragraph is a bit confusing. The arm is either fully-automatic, with or without a semi-automatic setting, or it's semi-automatic. YodaMcFly (talk) 22:24, 3 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Fire rate.

edit

The wiki page puts the fire rate at 600 RPM while the official manual/pamphlet gives a fire rate of "approximately 700 RPM". With another source saying "700-800" RPM.

Where did this 600 RPM come from? Lemonater47 (talk) 05:04, 21 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
