The result of the move request was: Moved Cheaters (disambiguation) → Cheater (disambiguation) and Cheaters → Cheaters (American TV series). For the two British Cheaters series addressed in the discussion, I'll open a separate RM. No such user (talk) 10:11, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
– Although the American TV series is primary by usage its not likely by long-term significance. Also per WP:DABNAME the DAB should norbmally use the singular and there 12 entries for "Cheater" compared with only 10 for "Cheaters". Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:26, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support cheaters is the plural of cheater. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:25, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
- [1] doesn't indicate there's a lot of clicks on the hatnote, though it is in the top 10 list. [2] does not indicate primary topic by usage, though. The TV series doesn't have a reception section so it seems a bit hard to assess its long-term significance. There is a valid case for splitting plural from singular per WP:SMALLDETAILS but I think the argument for primary topic should be more compelling. --Joy (talk) 11:14, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom, page views not everything in this case. I think plural of cheater is most obvious use.--Ortizesp (talk) 19:22, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:12, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

- Support per the nominator's argument. I do not believe the television show is the primary topic. If Cheaters (American TV series), shouldn't Cheaters (2022 TV series) be changed in some way to keep the disambiguation consistent? Aoba47 (talk) 03:14, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: note that there is The Cheaters (TV series) which is also British so I'd oppose moving Cheaters (2022 TV series) to Cheaters (British TV series). Crouch, Swale (talk) 04:21, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. I just wanted to point this out as I was not sure if the disambiguations should be consistent. Aoba47 (talk) 04:26, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- WP:NCTV actually prefers the country, unless there is ambiguity. So that would give us Cheaters (American TV series) and Cheaters (British TV series). The Cheaters (TV series) is sufficiently distinct because of "The". A move of Cheaters (2022 TV series) should be addressed in its own discussion though. 162 etc. (talk) 17:14, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- We generally shouldn't rely on the other having "The" in the name as topics prefixed with "The" like The Bahamas are generally automatically ambiguous with the title without "The" namely Bahamas. The reverse is sometimes the case as well but not always. Per WP:SMALLDETAILS the 2022 one not having "The" doesn't likely distinguish it from the 1960s one as it doesn't "indicates a distinct topic". Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:56, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- Not agreeing with your interpretation of WP:SMALLDETAILS here, but I'll keep it at that until a new discussion is opened at Talk:Cheaters (2022 TV series). 162 etc. (talk) 18:15, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
