During the Trojan War, Agamemnon took his daughter Chryseis (Astynome) from Moesia as a war prize (...) [How do we know that Agamemnon captured her? We know the Achaians gave him to her as a prize. Chryses, with help from Orestes, was also responsible for the death of Thoas. He killed Thoas after finding out that the son of Chryseis, called "younger Chryses," was also the son of Agamemnon.

In how far was Thoas involved in this? Why was Chryses in Tauris? And in how far did it matter who was the father of his grandson? Did Chryses consider himself suddenly a relative of Orestes, son of his former foe?80.141.169.146 (talk) 20:47, 20 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
