PhD thesis about Hong Kong triad films and working paper on HK films in Mainland China
editThis may be a resource for people developing this article:
- Holsteijn, Jasper van (August 2019). ""Besieged Brotherhood and the Transformation of Triad Traditions: The Hong Kong Triad Genre as an Allegorical Critique of Plutocratic Hypocrisy"" (PDF). University of Hong Kong. (Archive dot today link)
Also I found a paper on Hong Kong films edited for Mainland China:
- He, Hilary Hongjin (2010). ""One Movie, Two Versions": Post-1997 Hong Kong Cinema in Mainland China" (PDF). Global Media Journal Australian Edition. University of Western Sydney. p. 8/16. ISSN 1835-2340.
Her whole thesis:
- He, Hilary Hongjin (2011). "Hong Kong Cinema under "One Country, Two Systems": Production, Reception and Policy" (PDF). University of Western Sydney.
It seems there are working paper versions:
- ""One Movie, Two Versions": Post-1997 Hong Kong Cinema in the Mainland" (PDF). - Paper Number: 103 September 2010 - Posted by the David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies, Hong Kong Baptist University
Needs Many More References
editAs per my {{Multiple Issues}} tag, a large part (perhaps the majority) of this article appears to be unreferenced original research which reads like a personal essay on the topic. I do think it contains lots of interesting information, but it needs many more references in several sections to bring it up to Wikipedia standard. 95.145.86.26 (talk) 10:29, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
