I tried to re-write this in a slightly more encyclopedic style, but did poorly. I propose that it be a redirect to Lauren Child or that Clarice Bean series be written. - brenneman 11:09, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dammit, I was about to mention the TV series...arrgh, that's Charlie and Lola...(facepalm) :) Casliber (talk · contribs) 13:17, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
You're reverse stalking me. I too thought C&L first. But then when I see you mentioned it while I was editting... - brenneman 13:34, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

A few things

edit

1). Characters to add to the list of characters that appear in one book: 1. Justin Broach, 2. Boy with the odd haircut, 3. Mr. Larsson. And I think you should mention that Clem's rabbit (Kahnin) was stolen by Justin Broach, and Broach also broke Karl's arm. And finally, Clarice Bean's last name isn't Bean, it's Tuesday, therefore she is Clarice Bean Tuesday (I found that out in Utterly Me, Clarice Bean[“Love, Betty P. Moody and Clarice Bean Tuesday” and “Don't worry, Clarice, your name sounds like an author or an organic muffin! The Clarice Bean Tuesday!”]). ~LØVĘMÜFFÎÑYou gonna make biscuits? —Preceding undated comment added 01:28, 25 February 2011 (UTC).Reply

Who's Babysitting?

edit

Clarice Bean, Guess Who's Babysitting? (Candlewick: March 1, 2001)

Is this a distinct book or a US title? Two reasons for asking: (1) Candlewick is a US publisher, frequently for 1st American eds. of UK originals. (2) Lauren Child lists only the other six.

  Done by another editor -P64

By the way, that biography describes the six as three picture books and three novels. If that's true it will be good to rewrite the lead here. Say something about the shift in format and whether or not there was a shift in audience. (From this great distance and ignorance I wonder whether Child had a child ;-) who passed from picturebooks age to novels age.) --P64 (talk) 17:25, 2 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ruby Redfort

edit

(As I depart still knowing almost nothing about the subject) I have [a] moved Ruby Redfort (with Hitch) out of "people from school" into her own section, [b] mentioned the forthcoming spinoff series in the lead, [c] expanded the previous {bare URL} as a formal reference to the 23 March 2010 press release by Candlewick, announcing contract for a US edition of the anticipated spinoff series.

A quick web search shows that the spinoff happened with a title not on the list of fictional books. Otherwise I know only what I read when I visited the old press release.

Evidently this needs some {{update}}. --P64 (talk) 19:03, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
