Changes
editChanged "sexual" to sexual in the part relating to Tupac Shakur - the quotations marks make this POV. He was convicted of the crime. The controversy around his conviction is dealt with in his article, and doesn't deserve any mention here. Supersheep 16:00, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Reverted Shyne's "real name" to Moses Michael Leviey or whatever it is. Jamal (not "Jammal") Barrow is his name of birth, but he has since had it legally changed. Describing Mohammad Ali's "real name" as "Cassius Clay" in any article outside of his own would be a similar (and similarly wrong) situation. Ford MF 02:55, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Removed much of the too-trivial-to-mention trivia section. It wasn't very appropriate to begin with, and now it's getting bigger. Saying CCF is located adjacent to a drug store and an elementary school isn't really notable or surprising (and it's certainly not ironic), considering it's a very large facility located in a very small suburban village.
And I removed the latter half of the Tupac verse. None of it is really relevant after the CCF shout-out. The rest of it is just general hip-hop raving, none of it particularly specific to Clinton. Ford MF 23:46, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Wikiproject Prisons
editIf anyone's interested, I've proposed a new wikiproject for the creation and improvement of articles regarding specific prisons, internment camps, and detention centers here. --Cdogsimmons (talk) 02:40, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
June 2015 escape
editI have removed the content regarding this escape and created June 2015 Clinton Correctional Facility escape based largely on the content previously located [1]. The content was overwhelming the article. For comparison, one of the most famous prison breaks ever (June 1962 Alcatraz escape) has but a single sentence referring to it at Alcatraz Island. The story isn't the prison, but the break itself. There's sufficient secondary sources to support a stand alone article, though it could do with significant clean up and minutiae removal. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:56, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- Good choice i think. But i would rename it to just "2015 Clinton Correctional Facility escape" prokaryotes (talk) 17:58, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- I followed the naming convention of the June 1962 Alcatraz escape. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:06, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- Since escapes are so rare, i see no reason to add the month. prokaryotes (talk) 18:12, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- I don't care one way or the other. I was just following the precedent. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:37, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- I've moved it to 2015 Clinton Correctional Facility escape. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:39, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
