Orphaned references in The Rhodes Brothers
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Rhodes Brothers's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 20:56, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

- Some issues
- In 1995, Dustin Runnels (better known by his ring name Goldust), the son of Dusty Rhodes Although he's mentioned in the lead, Dusty has not been introduced in the article. Insert the bit from the lead, including the link.
- Since this article only focuses Cody and Goldust, I added "the son of WWE Hall of Famer Virgil Runnels (better known as Dusty Rhodes)" on Early years and confrontations section.
- The gimmick of "The Bizarre One" (the character's nickname), is somewhat spooky, mysterious, and has sexually suggestive mannerisms. The comma is misplaced, and the grammar seems slightly off. Perhaps "with sexually suggestive mannerisms" ?

- What is the "In Wrestling" section about?
- I'll be your huckleberry all night long I have no idea what this means.
- This is a famous quote by Dusty when he was wrestler doing interviews in the 90s. He said "One stipulation: I'm in my boys' corner and I'll be your huckleberry all night long." during his "negotiation" to The Authority by giving his sons' jobs back. It was then voted by fans around the world as the "Quote of the Year". FairyTailRocks 23:55, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

- I'll bet it was, but it still makes no sense to me. Passing article now. You should consider nominating it for WP:DYK. That would make a good hook. Hawkeye7 (talk) 00:55, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the review! By the way, I already nominated it for DYK. You will see it very soon in the main page. Again, thanks! FairyTailRocks 02:53, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
Explaining removal of Gold Brotherhood
editWe are told in the source that ref name=a7 supports the team being called "Gold Brotherhood". The reference link is http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/wwerawreport/article_79059.shtml
If you go to this page, the string "brotherhood" does not even appear on the page.
The quoted text is "Stardust with a front-flip bulldog out of the corner and it was good for the pin"
This does not include any reference to the team name. Therefore I conclude it to be an improper reference.
If the team has been called this, a different proper reference must be located to support this.
I will most the reference to where it appears to be referred to for other reasons. Ranze (talk) 23:47, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
- The reference was not referring to the "Gold Brotherhood" but to the tag team's name "Stardust and Goldust". FairyTailRocks 17:23, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
