Citations Added

edit

I've added all the citations that were marked missing, and so I've removed the BNP:Sources notice from the top. Skip237 (talk) 05:25, 15 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Waiver claim

edit

Yes, it appears that the Giants won a claim for Ross, but that doesn't make him a Giant. It could just be that they're blocking the Padres or Cardinals from getting Ross, and have no intention of acquiring him.[1] --Muboshgu (talk) 20:44, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Only with this source [2] did we know that the Marlins would let him go. --Muboshgu (talk) 20:59, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Info box picture

edit

I recently tried to update the info box picture to show Cody Ross in a Boston Red Sox jersey and he is not longer on the San Francisco Giants as shown in the picture. Someone has reverted it back. If my picture is some how unacceptable can someone please add one that is? --Jimv1983 (talk) 06:56, 17 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

There is no freely available picture of Ross with the Red Sox. Even if one were, it would need to be of higher quality that the Giants picture, since it's the picture of the highest quality that goes in the infobox, not necessarily the most recent. – Muboshgu (talk) 14:01, 17 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Reviewer: Sportsguy17 (talk · contribs) 21:55, 1 March 2014 (UTC) I'm here again to review another one of your fine-looking articles. I'll leave initial thoughts shortly. Sportsguy17 (TC) 21:55, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Most of the issues I see involve grammar, not content that is or isn't there, so only minor changes will be made and here it is section-by-section:

Lead
  • Change "He stands 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall and weighs 195 pounds (88 kg)" to "He is 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall and weighs 195 pounds (88 kg)".
  • Change "He was traded to the Los Angeles following spring training in 2004..." to "He was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers following spring training in 2004".
  • The rest of the lead looks good.
Early life
  • This section is all good.
Minor League career (1999-2005)
  • This section is all good.

I will stop here for now. Make the clubs and teams he was on Level 3 headings and add a Level 2 heading called Major League career like you have for other GA's you worked on. Sportsguy17 (TC) 16:37, 2 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

First round of changes made @Sportsguy17:. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 12:18, 3 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

OK. I do not see any other issues with the article, so I am passing it. Good work. Sportsguy17 (TC) 23:13, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Trevor Rogers

edit

Trevor Rogers plays for the Marlins. He is not related to Tyler Rogers (San Francisco Giants) or Taylor Rogers (San Diego Padres). Trevor is related to Cody Ross. The Tyler twins are not. The information in the Personal section is incorrect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.169.40.38 (talk) 15:44, 15 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the correction. You are correct, Trevor is his cousin, not Tyler or Taylor.[3] – Muboshgu (talk) 15:48, 15 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
