The coordinates of the school need to be changed from the old high school to the current one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheYersgminator (talkcontribs) 19:39, 28 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I feel the section on contraversies needs to be removed; the only people they can posibly affect are us students, and even then no one is actually complaining outside the usualy small talk. Plus, 7 AM school time is not exactly contraversial, and neither is a dress code these days.

How is dress code not controversial? People are complaining about it all the time. 65.6.213.12 23:42, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • because every school in Shelby county has it, so the controversy isnt unique to Collierville high and thus should either be covered in the shelby county schools article, or elsewhere. this article can mention theres a dresscode but unless theres mass protests i doubt its worth mentioning a controversy because some of the student body doesnt like it. • More accurately, all of the student body doesn't like it. I agree with Barcode, however. It's just high school students bitching; compared with the rest of the nation's schools, this is absolutely nothing unique to Collierville High School. Now, when the students stage a protest or revolt of some sort, then it can be notable. MasterSheep 00:46, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

'History' Section

edit

I removed the history section. There was absolutely nothing cited and references to someone being 'hardcore' and 'Vince McMahon' seemed like it did not belong there. Please cite your information pertaining to said 'history'. I did inadvertently mark it as a minor edit when it was not. -- Qaddosh|talk|contribs 01:56, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Extra-curricular activities

edit

This section seems quite long, especially considering it is larger than main information at the top. Maybe it could be reorganized / broken into sections so its a little more readable. Bobtheowl2 (talk) 15:45, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

The name of the article needs to be changed.

edit

The current name, Collierville High School, does not fit this article. The High School moved to a new location in Collierville. The building currently talked about in this article is now West Collierville Middle School (WCMS). Please update this article so it is more accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheYersgminator (talkcontribs) 03:36, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

On the listed district

edit

Recently, the infobox has been twice changed to read "Shelby County Schools • Collierville Schools" in the "District" line. Shelby County Schools was, indeed, the previous administrating district for Collierville High School. Nonetheless, since 2014, Collierville Schools has been the sole governing body and should be listed as the only current district. It would be misleading to put SCS in the infobox, as the school is no longer subject to Shelby County, and such information should be explicitly kept to the article in a historical context. In much the same way that you wouldn't list historical principals in the infobox for a still-active school, historical districts should not be in the infobox if the current district is distinct from it. — NovumChase (talk) 03:53, 27 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
