The result of the move request was: No consensus to move. After two full listing periods, there are no support votes other than the nom, and one oppose. Oppose seems legitimate as well - the current article is long enough and focused on free trade, so there seems no reason to expand it; a separate article can be created if desired. Commonwealth free trade → Economy of the Commonwealth of Nations – Expand the article to the economy of the Commonwealth.--Relisted. --Mdann52talk to me! 13:51, 12 November 2013 (UTC) 86.138.14.247 (talk) 01:33, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose why expand this article? It's a fairly substantial article as it is. Why don't you just create a new article. -- 70.24.251.36 (talk) 08:38, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
I think it is better to expand this article to include the freedom of movement of the factors of production within the Commonwealth, including the figures of the imports and exports of the member states. This information is related to free trade but is better described as the economy of the Commonwealth. 86.138.14.247 (talk) 02:43, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

editIf an objective editor were to start deleting unreferenced arguments/sentences/paragraphs in this article, there would soon be no article at all. Will return and delete more some time later. - Probably because there isn't really any reliable sources justifying the concept of a multilateral Commonwealth Free Trade area. The subject of improving Commonwealth trade does seem to exist, as demonstrated by the Valletta Statement on Multilateral Trade at the 2005 summit. So we should probably try to refocus the article on that (with more sources of course). Possibly move the page to "Commonwealth trade relations" or similar. Rob984 (talk) 16:12, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
- Rob984: Though I concur, there is a rather emotionally invested clique in this kind of subject that I jave learned to avoid. Juan Riley (talk) 21:18, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
Does it really?
editThe recent decision of the UK to leave the European Union has brought further attention to the concept of a Commonwealth Free Trade Agreement. We can say this after only a day or afew days?-Serialjoepsycho- (talk) 21:15, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
