Outdated picture
editThe building in the linked picture ceased housing Romtelecom a few years ago. It was rented out at the end of 2008 and is now the R Building of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, which planned on purchasing it after a 5 year lease. I believe it might be of use to remove the picture and move the text to the criticism section. The actual Romtelecom offices in Iasi are further down the same street. 2A02:2F02:4021:60B1:1C96:F5A8:BD29:6245 (talk) 05:13, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Contested deletion
editThis is the original page of the company as you can see in the history and should be renamed Telekom Romania.Daniel.9 (talk)
- There is already another page named Telekom Romania. Why do you want to delete that one and rename this one with the same name of the article you want deleted? Especially when the Telekom Romania articles contains the same info as this one. Please remember to add your signature after your comment. Eduardm (talk) 23:59, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- It's the same company with same shareholders: Romtelecom was renamed Telekom Romania Communications and use Telekom brand
- Cosmote Romania also was renamed Telekom Romania Communications Mobile and use Telekom brand. Mr.Cellular moved the page to Telekom Romania instead of moving Romtelecom page to Telekom Romania https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Telekom_Romania_Mobile&oldid=625514499
- You wrote "OTE, a Greek telecommunications company (which is in turn minority-controlled by Deutsche Telekom)". Actually Deutsche Telekom is by far the largest shareholder in the company with 45%. You say it like it's minority shareholder and does't control the company. Daniel.9 (talk) 00:36, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- You are using a link from 2014. The Telekom Romania article was updated several times over the years and as of march 2020, it made references to both fixed services and mobile services: https://web.archive.org/web/20200307183145/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telekom_Romania. I still don't understand why you want to move the Telekom Romania article to the Romtelecom article, and then rename the Romtelecom article as Telekom Romania. Why not move the Rometelecom article to the Telekom Romania article, and allow the deletion of the Romtelecom article?
- And yes, the phrase "OTE, a Greek telecommunications company (which is in turn minority-controlled by Deutsche Telekom)" is correct, and does not mean it's not controlled. A minority shareholder is a shareholder holding below 50% of the shares, while "minority controlled" means the company has no major shareholder and is controlled by the largest minority shareholder. We could rephrase it as stating simply "which is in turn controlled by Deutsche Telekom" if you prefer? Eduardm (talk) 00:53, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
Contested deletion
editThis page should not be speedily deleted because reason by user is that the former brand's page (see Romtelecom) still exists. In that case, delete the page belonging to the former brand, ergo Romtelecom, as it's no longer relevant, and keep this one, which anyway contains information about Romtelecom. With this in consideration, thee reason for deletion of this page is not sufficient. Orange Romania Communications → Telekom Romania Mobile Communications – Please rename this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_Romania_Communications as Telekom Romania Mobile Communications, as it originally was. Somebody made edits on the page and changed it from Telekom Romania Mobile Communications to Orange Romania Communications which is not correct.

- For the record, the page was originally at Telekom Romania so that may be a better place to move/return the article. Primefac (talk) 16:37, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support move to Telekom Romania, as original title and what is used by the company per their website. AusLondonder (talk) 15:04, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
