the mechanism as shown here does not explain any stereoregularity. The migration process only takes place in a specific way if there is a strong steric hindrance by the ligands in metallocenes or by the catalyst particles surface for ziegler-natta. Al is only taking part in the production of the active titanium species, but not in the polymerization. --Maxus96 (talk) 12:13, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

The monomer to be added always enters with the sterically less hindered carbon atom on the double bond, but the monomer unit that has entered before is oriented (sterically) such that the new bond to the next monomer added emerges in a stereoselective way. --Maxus96 (talk) 20:14, 13 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
