editTaking advantage of re-marks Someone commented on CCEA 'Cashing in' on remarks and using very strict examiners. It is generally accepted their standards are strict, but in line with QCA procedures. Border-line candidates are remarked as a matter of course. Because of the nature of one candidate's marking being allocated among several examiners (via several papers), any mistake in marking is often in one paper and is balanced out by other papers - hence there is a low probabability of a remark changing the grade unless several examiners were all at fault.
CCEA Redirect
editCCEA redirects here. Someone put: 'Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs' on the page. It doesn't belong on this page - what cabinet does this relate to, does it need an article and should the redirect change? --Philipwhiuk (talk) 23:55, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Hmm looks like an Indian cabinet committee name.. I'll mention it on a relevant wiki page.... --Philipwhiuk (talk) 23:56, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Non-departmental?
editHow can the CEA be a non-departmental public body of the Dept of Education, as is stated in the lede? That seems like a contradiction, doesn't it? jxm (talk) 04:14, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
