Ref and Weasel tags
editI unserstand why these were added, but I don't think they should remain. The subject of this article has not been researched or documented to my knowledge, thus the information comes from consensus. However, in the case of this article, I don't think that detracts from the validity of the information, simply due to its universality. Would a reference be nice? Yes. Is it absolutely necessary? No. The weasel words used in this article are also permissible because it describes a social phenomenon, which are never completely predictable or defined. --Perimosocordiae 03:52, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
- I dunno... there are plenty of resources on the Web to describe this cultural phenomenon. I'm currently looking into finding some good sources. --Brandon Dilbeck 00:06, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- References are required for any article. If it hasn't been written (or spoken) about elsewhere, you can't write about it here. Material has to be verifiable, and everyone who contributes here should understand this. Richard001 (talk) 03:00, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I can't STAND when people say butting instead of budging

In fact "butting" make more sense —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.182.50.2 (talk) 20:50, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Merge with main article on queuing
editThis article is basically about the ethics of queuing, queue-jumping being a violation of queuing etiquette. There's been comment in the main article on queuing that it lacks a broader discussion of queuing ethics, so I suggest this article should be merged with the other. Gymnophoria (talk) 09:28, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agree. Move it ASAP. And please use queue-jumping, as it's a clearer term internationally, whereas cutting is much more of an Americanism only. Suggest while you use Queue-Jumping as section header, make sure to explain Cutting-In, Cutting (in line), et al, as synonyms in the first sentence so there is less ambiguity among different users, making sure to also change the text to use queue-jumping instead of cutting accordingly.
