Merge Proposal
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- To not merge; current WP:SUMMARY structure is reasonable; both pages warrant expansion. Klbrain (talk) 11:46, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
ColorBrewer should be merged into Cynthia Brewer, the former is basically a duplicate of a section in the main article. --Kraligor (talk) 22:47, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Mild oppose. I can see why you would say that about the articles as presently configured. However, there are applications of ColorBrewer (like applications of Warming stripes such as ) that would be too detailed for proper inclusion in a biographical article. The palette can stand alone as an independent subject. —RCraig09 (talk) 23:29, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. While the two pages have overlap, they are both separate and noteworthy topics. I could see taking material out of the Cynthia Brewer pages ColorBrewer section, and replacing it with a short summary linking to the main page. Really, both pages have room for expansion. - Oppose. I moved the color palettes to the ColorBrewer page so there's not as much overlap anymore. As others have stated, both pages can be expanded and have merit on their own. static shakedown ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ 19:55, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
