Restorative action

edit

I have restored/reverted to a previous, essentially stable, version. The version i restored from had been created by a user with no explanation other than a rather meaningless (in the context) edit summary. It seems that information was deleted, without adequate either replacement or justification by citations. Thus, i consider this (my action) the appropriate second step. Notability

edit

The subject of this article appears not to be notable. While the article is much more than a stub, only five sentences are actually about the subject, three giving strictly genealogical context and two giving his nickname and speculating (generic, unreferenced) about its meaning. That is not notability. A further search reveals nothing more about this man. Rather, this article seems to be a genealogical WP:COATRACK to give the line of descent for Ieuan ap Gruffudd Leiaf and his immediate family of poets. What I propose doing is 1) creating an article on Gruffydd Leiff, who has a Dict Welsh Biog article; and 2) merging/redirecting this article and the equally non-notable Gruffudd ap Dafydd Goch into some combination of that article and the article on Ieuan, who likewise has a DWB article. The genealogical connections will still be maintained, but in an article on someone who better meets Wikipedia's notability criteria. Agricolae (talk) 08:38, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

A week and no response, so away I go. Agricolae (talk) 10:32, 23 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
