Col. Dave Barr is the son of MGen John Barr and has two brothers who are also officers in the Cdn Forces.
He is a graduate of RCS Netherwood in Rothesay NB (as are his siblings) and a ring-knocker from RMC (Class of 1980). This "Peace Corps" story is definitely for the birds.

editDavid Barr (Canadian Forces) → David Barr (Canadian Forces officer) — Military officers are generally disambiguated by the addition of (name of force officer) e.g (US Army officer) (Royal Navy officer) etc. This follows the WP:NCP naming convention at WP:QUALIFIER: The disambiguator is usually a noun indicating what the person is noted for being.
