Biography of a living person

This article does not met the guidelines for Biographies of living persons as it is written. It does not give a balanced view of this person. He is important enough to have an article about his problems because he had many achievements. This article focuses on his problems to the exclusion of his achievements. It needs a major rewrite ASAP. FloNight talk 13:49, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

I know absolutely nothing about the subject of this article; I happened upon the article while researching....

The tone of the present version reads as a "glowing biography". Yet, ironically, if one takes a look at the earliest edits and creation of the article, it becomes obvious that it was originaly written to attack-and/or-insult the man. The list of edits is quite long, yet the talk page is so BLANK.....

I also question whether Mr. Edomdson's notability as a public figure is enough to merit him an article at all, although, like I said, I am otherwise clueless as to his achievments.

Anyway, an article that has had such extremes as this one in its editing history should, in my opinion, just be wiped out entirely. It's damaging to the man and insults the integrity of wikipedia.

I believe this article was written by Dave Edmondson given the uploaded files of degrees and the biography as he described himself to RadioShack employees. It needs verification and does not focus on much of his history in final days at RadioShack and ethical controversy under his leadership. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.113.73.230 (talk) 23:53, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

References

I don't remember how I stumbled on that article, but noticed the lack of references.

So I added references to a public domain (or at least available to the public) news about the controversy surrounding subject of the article. Not sure why it's been removed without any discussion. In fact, some references did exist at some point but all got removed.

I tried to stay as neutral as possible and stick to facts, again, not sure if I've achieved that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.168.175.151 (talk) 08:44, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

G10-- speedy denied.

Does not meet "Pages that serve no purpose but to disparage or threaten their subject." Asserts notability with, " Edmondson was recognized by Advertising Age as one of the top 100 marketers in America in 1996 for his initial repositioning of the RadioShack brand. "

If claims are true, this should be readily sourced. Suggest looking for sources and then AFD if they are not available. Problems of promotion, tone, balance are amenable to judicious editing and consensus seeking through collaborative effort. Suggest remembering we are building an encyclopedia and that building requires far greater effort that applying a tag and pushing a mouse button. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 14:33, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

IP editor removing references

An IP editor has been repeatedly removing references from this article and adding in spurious images that purport to refute the information in reliable sources like MSNBC and CBS News. I'm hoping that someone other than just me can come in and make sure this article stops having all its references removed by this IP editor, since I don't want to be the only one making sure that this article actually has references. Flopsy Mopsy and Cottonmouth (talk) 06:32, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

I have placed a note about this on the IP editor's talk page, since he/she is coming to this page from a static IP address. Flopsy Mopsy and Cottonmouth (talk) 07:13, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

The facts are that Len Roberts actively recruited Mr. Edmondson for 9 months without ever requesting a resume. Only after Edmondson was hired did the Company request a Bio. That is not resume fraud. The fact is his submitted bio said he majored in Theology and minored in Psychology. The Company distributed and posted inaccurate information and although he should not have taken responsibility for others incompetence, he did. I have contacted both schools to verify the degrees posted. I intend to get to the bottom of why not one major national media outlet has ever contacted the college or Mr. Edmondson himself, to get the real facts, including your sources. I believe your references needed and still need major fact checking and not just a repeated, bogus and counterfeit story, poorly sourced and agenda driven, initially by the Fort Worth Star Telegram.--Truthseeker2826 (talk) 05:15, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Once you have finished your research and had it published by a reputable third-party source, it can be added into the article. This is what Wikipedia's rules on the biographies of living persons requires. Flopsy Mopsy and Cottonmouth (talk) 02:43, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

I have, and you have continuously remove them. What is your agenda? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.183.93.85 (talk) 23:10, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
