Spelling of last name?

Most of the sources—the two cited in the article, plus a book authorship [1]—show his last name as Hershkovits. There is a single source (a different New York Times article [2]) that spells the name Hershkovitz. Since the majority of sources spell his name with an s, it stands to reason that the article should. Does the alternate spelling warrant a mention? —C.Fred (talk) 14:42, 22 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
