Dease Lake, British Columbia → Dease Lake – Place name is unique, town much better-known than the lake itself; Dease Lake redirects here since 10:45, 16 April 2007, created by User:Seattle Skier. Google results will overwhelmingly show community-related results or the weather station here, which features in nightly newscasts in BC and often Canada-wide. Lake is the only other usage, other than maybe an obscure airport, it's covered in a hat note. Skookum1 (talk) 09:06, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

- View stats
- "Dease Lake, British Columbia" was viewed 1024 times in 201304
- "Dease Lake (British Columbia)", the lake article, was viewed 83 times in 201304
- "Dease Lake", the redirect to the community article, was viewed 97 times in 201403
- The higher rating for the community is most likely all the pages it's piped from, when the community is mentioned; there are far less reasons to mention the lake, as the community is the usage most often referred to...as a comparison of "What links here" for the community vs the same for the lake article clearly demonstrates.
- Googlebooking and Googlenewsing are time-consuming; it would help if closers especially were AGF about local expertise on such matters; even when view stats and googles are provided, some of the similar RMs as "no consensus, not moved" despite any really valid opposing votes (typically only one, from the same editor); there are no such votes here (so far), RedSlash, so this isn't directed at you.Skookum1 (talk) 08:39, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
