The result of the move request was: move to Disembarkation. Armbrust The Homunculus 09:40, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Debark (ship) → ? – WP:NOUN use noun form, not verb form, in article titles. So this should be called disembarkation, disembarcation, debarcation, debarkation; As there are two words and each has two forms (c/k), which word should be the title of this article? My personal preference is "disembarkation", with a secondary choice of "debarcation". -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:56, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

- Rename to "Disembarkation" -- I am the nominator -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:57, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
- Support disembarkation per WP:NOUN. Another common term is disembarkment, although Google hits seem to favor "disembarkation" in a ~4:1 ratio. No such user (talk) 07:28, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
- Support name change with k, 238,000 GBhits to 5.000 for c, less sure about whether (ship) should not be changed to naval disembarcation? In ictu oculi (talk) 02:30, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
- "nsval" would indicate military, while "nautical" would not be military. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 03:18, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
- Less sure about what to do re embarkment, it was a dicdef/dab, I've stubbed it to embarkation, but we also have boarding (transport). Should we distinguish naval/aerial boarding/deboarding? In ictu oculi (talk) 02:51, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
- Support. But with qualifier that current name points to new name. Student7 (talk) 12:46, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

edit- Any additional comments:
This article should also be expanded to cover aviation debarking/disembarking, as the military landing operation article does. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:56, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
