The native ethnic group in Syria
editLevantines are native to the Levant area, not Armenians, Assyrians, Druze, Turkmen, or Arab, and Arabs are native to the Arabian Peninsula, not to the area of the Levant.
Despite intermarriages and the influence of religion and language, the DNA still differs, the traditions differ, and the culture differ (despite both technically being Arab-speaking Levantines and Gulf Arabs are not the same)
The qualifications for an ethnic group usually require a unique history, culture, appearance (which is subjective), DNA markers, and language (In this case, it is a distinct accent). Mr1Elis (talk) 11:48, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
