3 children, or 4 children?
editEscape Orbit & Annikasophia, let's discuss including Heavenly Hiraani in the infobox. Whilst I'd normally agree on not naming children unless notable, I think this is an exception as the infobox is otherwise confusing - Geldof has 3 biological children, but has also adopted Heavenly Hiraani - thus making 4.
Besides - I'm not sure that she is non-notable. She has media presence and limited acting credit, (The Rise of the Krays) albeit not exactly stellar. Google searches bring back results specifically about her, not her siblings or father. and of course - she's mentioned by necessity in the article itself. Live aid etc
editIt was Midge Ure that organised Live aid 213.107.65.211 (talk) 18:17, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- All sources say it was both Geldof and Ure together - and as a result this article says that too. Chaheel Riens (talk) 19:54, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
The time he ranted and raved at the Music Press on BBC TV when winning an award
edit(The Brit Awards have had other names in previous years - and in years not held then BBC Radio organised "equivalent" TV awards shows on BBC TV). Surely he his well known for this incident? (It is how he got the sarcastic "Saint Bob" nickname). In 1985 or 1986 he won such an award (for Band Aid or Live Aid) and used his acceptance speech to suddenly rant and rave at the Music Press for (his claim) not backing Band Aid/Live Aid - it was live on BBC TV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.16.72.221 (talk) 16:54, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Ineffective Philanthropy
editAccording to Stuff You Should Know, Doctors Without Borders told Geldoff not to give money to Ethiopia, that charitable donations should wait until regime change. The Ethiopian government deliberately caused the famine. 2605:59C8:3425:7F10:1BA1:D562:A1DF:74BE (talk) 17:34, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
