COPY-VIO issue

edit

I think I created this article, because some one vandalised the article on Dilston Castle. I thought that the new text should be preserved, when I reverted the article on Dilston Castle to a former version. I was not aware that the material was copyright, nor was I aware of where it came from. I would suggest that the solution to this issue is to contact Mencap and ask them if they are happy for the text to appear (as it was), or if they would like to provide an alternative one without imposing copyright. In any event, it ought to be possible to provide a summary of what is on their website, citing that as a source. It is certainly not an independent source, but it is probably as good as we will get. The sources which some one has found are merely local newspapers' websites, which will only be as good as the journalists that produced them. Peterkingiron (talk) 23:30, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
