Opening sentence not very NPOV GraemeLeggett 11:55, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

The sentence "The Navy Experimental Diving Unit, (NEDU) also located in Panama City, conducts experiments that keep the Navy Diver on the cutting edge of hyperbaric knowledge and sets the standard for civilian divers." Could use a reference. Commerical divers do quite a bit more diving than their navy counterparts, as far as I know the US Navy Sat diving program is virtually non-existant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bg10117 (talkcontribs) 20:24, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article is about US Navy divers, so should be called "US Navy diver" or "United States Navy Diver" or some variation on that theme. Official name would be good, unless it is just Navy diver, as there are navy divers in most of the world's navies. Suggestions with motivation requested. Failing anything better, I will choose what looks best at the end of the month and make the change. Cheers, • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 08:21, 2 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Name was changed to comply with MOS while using the closest unambiguous name to official usage. This may affect scope as Navy diver does not include SEAL and EOD. • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk):
