Query
editHowe retired from playing and became Arsenal's reserve team coach under Bertie Mee, then stepping up to first team coach after the departure of Dave Sexton in 1968.
This date is inaccurate, since Dave Sexton was manager of Chelsea from October 1967 onwards. I know Sexton was a coach at Arsenal, but I'm unsure when he left, so I've left it unchanged. SteveO 20:41, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Query 2 - winning things
editIt doesn't appear Don ever got to the final of anything. He didn't seem to win anything. His best result in any competition was England's semi-final place at Euro 96. Is this correct? Wodorabe (talk) 17:41, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
As a coach rather than manager, but a coach with a large input into what happened on the pitch, his long association with Arsenal included the League and FA Cup Double triumph of 1971, while in 1990 he helped England to their best performance at a World Cup for 24 years. Don Howe did not play in 1954 Cup Final nor the Charity Shield match. This should be deleted
editJust know that Howe was not an FA Cup winner with Albion nor did he play in the Charity Shield match Krghunt (talk) 10:29, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
