editDr. Donald James' was only of only a handful of people to surf and photograph surfing between 1930 and 1950. His two books chronical the beginings and rise of the California surf culter that expanded and become mainstream across the United States in the mid to late 1950s. editAn article pusblished in the German newspaper FAZ says suicide because he was about to get blind. Does so. have an english source for that ? --Neun-x (talk) 11:57, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
