SSH

edit

The article and its sources references an entity "SSH" as a main contractor. This might be SSH Maritime, a Greek yacht chartering company, but that doesn't really seem to match their profile. A far more likely candidate would be Søby Shipyard, who definitely are involved in the project; but they don't seem to use the abbreviation "SSH" anywhere, so that might still refer to some third company or joint venture/consortium. Can anyone provide a definite reference for what SSH expands to? Hqb (talk) 18:38, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Only current ref #6 (newsletter#5) mentions SSH. I think we should drop SSH and Ridzon; they do not add much to this article. The main builder was Søby Værft A/S (ref https://www.shipyard.dk/newbuildings/newbuildings-list/ Newbuild #107). There is no reason to doubt that initial fabrication was done in Poland but it is not clear if this was at Szczecin Shipyard, nor who was the owner of the yard.
I suggest "The ferry was built by Søby Værft A/S,(above ref) with sections fabricated in Szczecin, Poland.(ref6) In September 2016, 22 sections were welded together and the hull was towed to Søby on Ærø for outfitting.(ref6)" Finavon (talk) 22:05, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Agreed; sounds good to me. Hqb (talk) 06:03, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
