Automobile crash
editIt is not clear what the consequences of the automobile "accident" were, apart from it's having "affected his career" (a phrase too vague to explain anything).
(I originally rewrote this as "stalled his career" but then found that the same word, "stalled," is used in the Allmusic bio, so my revision seemed to me too close to plagiarism, even if it was coincidental.)
The text does not state that Boyd was injured in the crash. If he was injured, it would be appropriate to say so, but I don't have the facts. For all I know maybe he was sued and hauled in to court, maybe he was arrested, maybe he was shot by a police officer, who knows? Any of these outcomes would have "affected his career."

- According to this interview with St. Louis Jimmy Oden, the accident was caused by a truck driver losing control, resulting in the vehicle in which Boyd and Oden were traveling hitting a tree. Boyd had three broken ribs, a broken foot, and cuts, and wrote a song about it. So, it seems reasonable to add the fact that he was injured. I'll leave the referencing to you, as you're expert at it and I'm not!! Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:06, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
