Talk:List of Game & Watch games

A number of these G&W entries have links to to unnecessary Wikipedia entries-- clicking on "Vermin" doesn't take one to a page on the Vermin G&W, but to an entry on predatory vermin animals. IMO these should point to (currently empty) pages such as Vermin (game) so that proper entries for the titles could eventually be made.

Merge/redirect proposal

edit

I don't think Egg (Game & Watch) has sufficient notabilty for its own article, at least I cannot find any reliable secondary sources outside it. IMO, this should be redirected to here. Any thoughts? MuZemike 21:13, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think it should be merged. Its too short for its own article. (User: isilive/Wikipedia de) 19:25, 26 July 2009 (MET)

Debaate agianst proposal

edit

I think that Egg (Game & Watch) should stay as it is for one importnt reason and that is the fact that the List of Game and Watch Games page is only there to give a list of all the Game and Watch games as Egg (Game & Watch) is only to give info. on Egg. The two pages were meant to be seperate. Have a nice day. Scarcer 22:55 July 21,2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scarcer (talkcontribs) 23:56, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

We could expand that list to include the same brief descriptions found in this (as well as other) articles. MuZemike 00:03, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
That is, in similar fashion as with List of Smurfs video games. It could easily be done with the end result being in a more comprehensive, still small article. MuZemike 00:08, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

If the other Game & Watch games are article-worthy, why not egg? It is short, but it just needs to be developed. Is someone available to do this? --Jp07 (talk) 18:36, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Objection

edit

I don't think that the way the games are listed is right (see List of Nintendo GameCube games or just about any other list of video games for an example). It should be put back to the way it was. Otherwise, this article will get too long. TheMan888 (talk) 21:56, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is there no mention of the Game Boy

edit

It should really be mentioned. It was released before the last game & Watch, making Game Boy the 48th handheld console from Nintendo (including electronic games). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.83.125.225 (talk) 09:00, 10 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Game & Watch Ball

edit

Are there any physical differences with the packaging or with the handheld itself to tell the difference between the original 1980 release or the 2011 "Club Nintendo" exclusive release? If there are it might be worth mentioning.172.190.40.207 (talk) 19:07, 13 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think that ball should have its own article. -pokemontrainermatt 7:12 7/13/12 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.223.61.140 (talk) 23:13, 13 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Due for a revamp

edit

I have a modest collection of these devices, and I'd like clean this page up. I'm going to retool it over the next few days as I get the time, and I wanted to open this up for discussion if anyone cares enough to interject. The individual G&W games that don't warrant their own page probably don't need detailed descriptions of their operation, so I'd like to reorganize them within their production groups (i.e. Wide Screen, Supercolor, Dual Screen, etc.). Removing this extraneous information will dramatically shorten the article without compromising the most relevant information. Each sub-group will have a short description of its games' general design and operation, but nothing so in-depth as a two-paragraph description of the innermost workings of a 30-year-old LCD blackjack game.

If anyone has thoughts on this, I'd love to hear them.

Everything in a Table

edit

Everything is in a table now as it should be but now it's a little messy.

There is another eReader Game & Watch game. Which happens to be modified remake of Ball, that is called Imakuni? no Bouru (https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Imakuni%3F's_Ball). With Imakuni? ( https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Tomoaki_Imakuni ) as main character. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Burakki4 (talkcontribs) 23:56, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Why are certain parts of the images deliberately pixelated?

edit

For some reason, there are parts of some images, such as Mario's Cement Factory or the Panorama version of Donkey Kong Jr, that have had things like decals pixelated out, as if they're obscene or something. Why? Is there some kind of issue that means they can't be shown?

Mickey Mouse: incorrect rules

edit

1. Game A differs from Game B not only in its speed, but also in the number of active tracks: 3 in Game A and 4 in Game B.

  • The list of active tracks in Game A depends on your miss count!

2. Misses are reset ONLY at 200 and 500 points, as in Fire. Strangely, misses are NOT reset at 1000 points, so you need to play till 1200.

3. Speed increases gradually every 10 points and slightly DECREASES at reaching each 100 points.

Soviet clones have an identical ROM and behave in the same way.
