Notability
editThe notability of this subject is not clear from the article nor the few reference provided. The claim of "the cow became a charismatic figurehead of animal rights and a meat-free diet." is very grandiose and is not supported by references to reliable 3rd party sources.
The references provided have a very specific point of view and this article reads like a promotion of that point of view. One reference (counterpunch) is a blog which does not appear to meet the guidelines for reliable sources, another (Spirit of Change) is an alternative health magazine which has a very POV-ish approach to the subject, the third is a web based database of roadside curiosities. Some coverage of this subject in media not solely focused on the vegetarianism related subjects would go a long way to establish notability of this topic.

- Although the sources cited here clearly have the potential for agenda-driven bias and are generally inadequate, the topic of a cow that managed to escape death at a slaughter house at the last minute --- or rather the story of such a cow, as told, presented within the context of the actual details of the matter --- is of no less general curiosity than much else on Wikipedia. 0x69494411 17:15, 8 August 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sixtyninefourtyninefourtyfoureleven (talk • contribs)

- Reportedly, a Hollywood producer had inked an agreement with the managers of The Peace Abbey to develop a movie about the dramatic life of "Emily the Cow" (slaughterhouse escape, furtively hiding from local residents living in surburbs with lots of trees and 'wild spaces', adoption by compassion advocates for peace for all, etc. Something happened, and implementing the agreement was postponed. I might have rushed ahead to get the movie made regardless of money to be earned, but some folks listen to other voices than I would heed. MaynardClark (talk) 15:35, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
