Toxicity is documented in most species belonging to the genus Euphorbia. All members of the genus Euphorbia are capable of causing allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis in individuals sensitive to latex. Bad Pictures

None of the pictures in this article are good. They are from non-representative dull varieties that don't display the contrasting red color that gives the plant its common names. Better pictures are needed. - Xufanc (talk) 02:30, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Are the leaves violin shaped like in the picture on the infobox? If so, I have a couple of pictures that show red on the upper leaves. It's a weed growing in my backyard and someone told me it might be a type of poinsettia. It has violin shaped leaves (like the pic in the box) and the top couple of leaves are turning bright red like a poinsettia (though it's only part of the leave). I'm not sure if it's really the euphorbia heterophylla or another variety since I live in the south eastern United States... Lime in the Coconut 15:57, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Misapplied name

The plant described in the article is Euphorbia cyathophora, which is not a synonym of Euphorbia heterophylla, although that name has previously misapplied to it.
